About us
The Santa Barbara Foundation is a public entity of the Community of “Castilla y León”, attached to the Counseling of Economy and Employment through the General Direction of Energy and Mines, made initially to collaborate with social welfare and promoting those cultural activities to promote the knowledge and development of the work inherent in mining of “Castilla y León”.
Currently it has strengthened and diversified its aims becoming consolidated in the field of educational and technological activities in sectors such as mining, energy, construction, and occupational safety and civil protection among other entity. The headquarters of the Foundation is located in the province of León in the region of “El Bierzo”, between the towns of Folgoso de la Ribera and Torre del Bierzo, in the center called labor school Bierzo (or mine-school Bierzo, as traditionally known).
In its 25 year history, our organization has become a benchmark for training in mining, public works and renewable energy, in addition to having carried out an intense involvement in R + D related to our core activities.

Through our website we present the main activities of our organization, and provide the user the registration process in different training activities conducted.
